Rugs are one of my very favorite home accessories- they can add immense character, movement, texture and coziness to a room + they add that final designer touch!
Picking out rugs can be a little tricky. There are so many colors, shades, textures, price ranges, and patterns to chose from; it can be overwhelming. If you are remodeling a room, some designers say to start with a rug you love and design around it with your paint colors, furniture, etc.
If you just need a new rug to go with an existing design, I recommend taking any textile samples from your room (pillows & draperies), along with any paint and carpet swatches you may have when you go to pick one out.
If you buy online, I highly recommend reading all reviews and buy with the expectation you may need to return it. Every screen/monitor is different, so your rug may look different when it arrives. Be sure you know the return policy before purchasing.
