dumb. so dumb.

peaches.  oh peaches.  i can never seem to pick a good one.  they are either unripe or too squishy.  i bought these last night and they are not ready.
is there hope?  how long will they take to ripen?
just peachy- add "poor peach picking" back on the list of things i can't do well.  i know this is trivial, but all the little trivials add up big and can make us think we're not good enough. it's total crappery.  we can't be good at everything, duh!

it's dumb.  so dumb.  it's satan again, trying to bring us down, messing with our imperfections.  he is the devil.  he wants us to be miserable.  i believe that.  he wants us to believe we are not enough.  he will drag us through the mud, confuse us, scorch our spirits and even torture us if we let him.  some believe he is not real.  i do.  life happens; and whether we like it or not, he is in it.
we are at war with him.  everyday.

remember, happiness is a choice.  the Lord wants us to be happy and will help us if we ask.

i have a few sweet peaches on my prayer list right now.  they are the sweetest peaches you'll ever meet.  they are each going through hard life trials right now.  they are strong.  their spirits are delicious.  i love them so much.  so, so much.  love is an understatement.

one of these peaches happens to be my amazing grandmother.  she would grow the most flavorful peaches i have ever tasted.  i have fond memories picking, peeling & eating that succulent, fuzzy fruit with her.
we just found out she is sick with a brain tumor.  my heart breaks for her :(

"Everybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope."   --James E Faust

"At times we may be tempted to think the Savior is oblivious to our trials. In fact, the reverse is true; it is we who need to be awakened in our hearts to His teachings. Use your ingenuity, your strength, your might to resolve your challenges. Do all you can do and then leave the rest to the Lord."    --Joseph B. Wirthlin

peace be with you my sweets.  stay close to the Lord.  believe, obey & endure.  you are my heros.  love abounds.
