beds

ahhh, bedding.  why are beds and all that goes along with them so wonderful?  if you thought sanctuary, that is what i thought :)  there is just something so comforting about a big comfy bed.  they are cozy and warm and soft.  yum.

i think the top image is my favorite.  i am in crazy love with that blue floral duvet.  i am a blue and floral lover.  i must have developed this liking/taste from my parents.  they are also blue lovers.  my mom changed out their bedspread like every other month(okay, that's an exaggeration-but a lot it seems)and they usually had some sort of blue, flowery damask thing going on.
it's charming.
but there is something alluring about the canopy and white flowing drape thing isn't there?  it's just dreamy.
i'll take one of each please!
this is jack & his fox all snuggled up next to me in my bed as we watched a king of queens re-run until he fell asleep.  it was the perfect ending to a busy day.  have a great thursday!

the bottle dangler

sigh, i'm crazy in love with the little dimple in his chin.  he's such a little man.  he turns 20 months in a couple of weeks.  how?!
get that bottle off of my keyboard stinker!
he was up and down and all around the other morning, getting into everything.  he thinks he's so big.  he thinks he's pretty tough stuff too.  jack makes having a boy so fun!  he's obsessed with balls, wheels & dirt.  he gets mad when he can't ride in dad's jeep.  that right there makes sam wildly happy.  i love it.  i love that he already has a little wheeling pal.
aren't you so glad i talked you into having one more?  you're welcome sammy ;)
oh jack, it's going to be so fun watching you continue to grow.  what will you be like son?  what will your talents be?  who will your first date be?  just don't grow up too fast, k?
love you duder!

dumb. so dumb.

peaches.  oh peaches.  i can never seem to pick a good one.  they are either unripe or too squishy.  i bought these last night and they are not ready.
is there hope?  how long will they take to ripen?
just peachy- add "poor peach picking" back on the list of things i can't do well.  i know this is trivial, but all the little trivials add up big and can make us think we're not good enough. it's total crappery.  we can't be good at everything, duh!

it's dumb.  so dumb.  it's satan again, trying to bring us down, messing with our imperfections.  he is the devil.  he wants us to be miserable.  i believe that.  he wants us to believe we are not enough.  he will drag us through the mud, confuse us, scorch our spirits and even torture us if we let him.  some believe he is not real.  i do.  life happens; and whether we like it or not, he is in it.
we are at war with him.  everyday.

remember, happiness is a choice.  the Lord wants us to be happy and will help us if we ask.

i have a few sweet peaches on my prayer list right now.  they are the sweetest peaches you'll ever meet.  they are each going through hard life trials right now.  they are strong.  their spirits are delicious.  i love them so much.  so, so much.  love is an understatement.

one of these peaches happens to be my amazing grandmother.  she would grow the most flavorful peaches i have ever tasted.  i have fond memories picking, peeling & eating that succulent, fuzzy fruit with her.
we just found out she is sick with a brain tumor.  my heart breaks for her :(

"Everybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope."   --James E Faust

"At times we may be tempted to think the Savior is oblivious to our trials. In fact, the reverse is true; it is we who need to be awakened in our hearts to His teachings. Use your ingenuity, your strength, your might to resolve your challenges. Do all you can do and then leave the rest to the Lord."    --Joseph B. Wirthlin

peace be with you my sweets.  stay close to the Lord.  believe, obey & endure.  you are my heros.  love abounds.

i'm proud to be an american!  today we remember the lives that were lost and spared on 9/11.  i happened to be home sick from work that day as i watched the twin towers fall.  i will never forget that sick, disturbing surge of emotions.
i remember hearing on some news report that they expected a 9/11 baby boom. little did i know i was barely pregnant or conceived shortly thereafter lol.  we must live on.
so in honor of life and our great country, i have another new print to share with you today.  made in the USA
this print is available in any color and includes a name, date, and place of birth.  this print is 50% off today!
